Hi again,

I wasn't looking for this material when I found it a few days ago. It's one I'd be interested in exploring because it strongly involves working with the chakras. No doubt many other people have offered ways to work with/heal the chakras, and I think it might be a nice supplement to doing EC work.

The author is C. J. Llewelyn, her book is: Chakras and the Vagus Nerve. Here's a summary of the contents:

Chakras and the Vagus Nerve: Tap Into the Healing Combination of Subtle Energy & Your Nervous System Paperback – April 8, 2023

The vagus nerve is the great communicator between most systems in your body, including the major organs of the brain, digestive system and heart. With the guidance of your seven chakras, the vagus nerve can be a psychological and spiritual powerhouse for healing. Trauma therapist C. J. Llewelyn shows you how to harness this energy to understand your past and heal your body of intense reactions that no longer serve you. This allows you access to the compassionate energy of your inner light.

When you understand your wiring, you can identify the signals your nervous system sends and work toward a state of calm. This book reveals the psychological dimensions each of your chakras hold and explains how your body experiences the pain of trauma. Through more than twenty exercises and journal prompts, you can focus on healing your mind, body, and soul.

Hope this is helpful.

John,

I've recovered from my last post and am back on track.

With another question.

In your travels through life, have you given much thought to the concept of "leaving the Matrix"--as illustrated in the movie The Matrix? If a person is learning to deal successfully with the realities of duality, both as a concept and as it happens in real time, is there a need to seek freedom from the cultural matrix that I and many others believe has been imposed on us?

Would successfully and realistically dealing with the concept and reality of duality free you from the need to leave The Matrix altogether? Or could a desire to leave the matrix be a sign one is striving to eliminate negativity from one's life altogether? In other words, is wanting to leave the human matrix an ego-based desire or a naturally-occurring direction to go in the closer you get to living in and beyond the fifth dimension?

I ask because I've focused on that concept after reading Cameron Day's website regarding Leaving the Matrix and because I've learned of the work of Isabella Greene, who has a new book out now (I believe in April 2023), which I've not read.

Many thanks,

Kat

I was caught by surprise when going through Deep Clearing a couple weeks ago: At the beginning of that book you state that "No thing, whether it's wealth, friendships, achievement, etc. etc. can make you happy." I was taken aback.

The rest of the book is understandable and acceptable to me, and I have no problems with that. That said, growing up, I was brainwashed to believe the world's not real. That was an exceedingly polarizing way to live in the world. I understand that many philosophers, teachers, etc. not connected with that cult teach the public that "THINGS don't make you happy--YOU make yourself happy."

I do NOT believe that you are trying to work massive mind control on your readers. I thoroughly believe you're trying to help us gain freedom from ignorance, etc., etc. It could be a matter of semantics, or needs an explanation/clarification for the reader. Because of my background, I suddenly latched onto that one statement about nothing making you happy and could not let it go. It made me lose interest in the rest of the book's message.

I admit I'm occasionally over-sensitive, but I'd rather be able to discern my thoughts and feelings and do something about them.

Best,

Kat

THE EMOTIONAL CLEARING PROCESS / Re: catchup

Yes, John, your perception of my mental/emotional projections and how I dealt with them is correct. And, it was less painful having to deal with them when I could laugh at my projections, such as the time I did "The Work" on a certain NBC nightly newscaster: I was completely honest with myself about how I felt about him, saying that if I had to choose an animal this individual looks like, it would be a kangaroo, because he moves his drooping right lower lip and jaw a lot like a kangaroo does. In the end, I had to soothe myself while being as honest as I could by realizing that if he looks like a kangaroo, I've been sending him through a "kangaroo court," and that caused my disdain for him to completely dissipate. To this day I have no "negative" feelings about him thanks to being able to realize that's where I was "sending" him in my mind. But I recognize I still may need to use EC on the original feelings and original final conclusion about him.

Thanks again!

Hello John,

I hope you are well!

I took a few weeks off from studying the EC program, knowing I'd now learned a great deal about it, wanting to absorb it more deeply on its own terms, and recognizing I could return to the study of it with fresh eyes. So,now I'm back.

The first and only thing I randomly "plugged" back into last night was your discussion in Deep Clearing of self-acceptance, where you state: "the ATTITUDE [my emphasis] of self-rejection is worse for you than the feeling to which it is applied; that when you 'make-wrong,' reject, and disvalidate any feeling--including painful feelings of any sort--you are hurting yourself more than the feelings themselves could hurt you because you are building the suppressed subconscious and laying the foundation for ongoing emotional stress."

Reading that section of Deep Clearing (page 115) brought me back to the 15 years I worked with Byron Katie's teachings. From her I learned that when I saw something as less than loving and friendly in another human being, I was simply projecting and shifting my recognition about myself to that other person or persons. While there is some/a lot of truth in that assessment, I was never able to move beyond the concept of projection to a healthier emotional state, and I became "stuck" with that mind-set. No way seemed available to address those feelings on a deeper level, let alone spiritually join in with or move toward that other person, other than to notice what I was thinking and feeling. Thus, existing in that very tough spot, I had to singularly reject my negative feelings AND my projections, if that makes sense. Another way to say this is that my emotions became "frozen into projections." And, so, without a whole EC type program to work with, I was--and many people can be!--intellectually hijacked by cerebral observations of feelings and emotions. And, what "sealed in" that mind-set was the awareness that I was often able to put a humorous spin on my own verbalized projections, and, as a result, I didn't want to give them up and move past them toward the expansion of my understanding of myself. Today, I'm exploring the possibility that such an overall attitude, as described above, helped lead the way to a well-defined but non-terminal physical ailment I've had for six years.

All of the above-described was further complicated by my desire to see my perceptions of Byron Katie's philosophy as "perfect" and "all-inclusive"--which it is not!--and by largely unconsciously feeling the "terror" of not being able to find any other way or person (until you) to enlighten me more fully on what is possible.

In the end, I simply made myself 'wrong' while in the act of projecting my feelings and emotions onto somebody else.

So, thank you for writing your books and making your Forum available!

John,

I forgot what I was going to say last week to finish up this post. But I'll not leave you empty-handed today. Yesterday I wrote one of my many cinquain poems (an offshoot of the famous Japanese haiku): (For the record, I weigh 118 lb. and I removed all wheat products from my diet on December 13, 2022.)

                                                                              today
                                                                              was the first day
                                                                              when deep breathing saved me
                                                                              from feeding my addiction to
                                                                              candy

Best,
Katherine

THE EMOTIONAL CLEARING PROCESS / EC Therapy works #2
« on: January 14, 2023 »
Hello again.

I have more to share:

Without telling you more than you want to know, from birth I was brainwashed to believe that the world is not real. You can't even imagine how destabilizing an effect that belief had on my life. Somehow I managed to become a productive, law abiding citizen throughout my 80 years of life on this planet.

Because I've had such an extremely tough time healing from that childhood (now realizing Karma had me in its clutches), I can't "zip" quickly through the steps and move quickly away from dysfunctional ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Reading lines, paragraphs, pages and chapters here and there has empowered me to slowly move deeper and deeper into doing EC work. If I know anything, I know that EC Therapy is the highest form of truth I have encountered, perhaps for many lifetimes.

Which brings me to the insight I had this morning: It's really and truly safe to accept, love, and care for my own body. I've done that fairly well throughout the last few decades, but I've always felt a certain sense of mental and spiritual alienation from it--and that has now cleared. How? The clearing came when I read more deeply than ever into the section on pps. 196-198, where you discuss "Consciousness shift 10: coming into the moment." On reading that yet again, I saw ever more deeply that on the third dimensional level, the body IS REAL and that I really and truly actually need it. That if I mentally throw it away, I can never regain glowing health.

I could say a lot more, but the library is about to close, so will have to wait until Tuesday (after the holiday) to finish up with this post.

Best -- and thanks again!

Kat

I'd be very happy to send the above post to the Emclear/Amazon page, but may not be able to, because if I need to have a credit card and need to have already purchased something from Amazon, I don't have a card and haven't bought anything from them in over two decades. Nor is it likely they'd have a record of my credit card # from 2008.

That said, I'd be happy to find out from you how I can submit that post to them and even give you permission to submit it yourself if it's not an awkward move for you and Amazon to handle. I recall one of the members of this forum was denied posting his comments because he hadn't spent enough time on Amazon.

Maybe I can get someone I know to submit my post, if he's a duly "sanctified" member of Amazon . . . . .

I'm going to go to new post to share more stuff.

THE EMOTIONAL CLEARING PROCESS / EC Therapy works!
« on: January 13, 2023 »
Hello,

I'm writing to share some of the benefits I've received so far from studying Deep/Emotional Clearing. This report will be kept as short and simple as possible.

Although I'm fully retired, a business woman took up a long-term place in my life in May 2022. From the start, I recognized two things about her: 1) She's a narcissistic bully, and 2) She's around to help me release deeply suppressed feelings I have from my last lifetime--when I was a bigger bully than she is now.

Before your books Deep/Emotional Clearing, I would have become at least as cagey and combative as she is now and would have ended up with massive, painful setbacks in my spiritual and personal development. It would have been hell on earth had I continued to spend my days trying to figure out how to "defeat" her.

Today, although that woman is not going away any time soon, I can say I now operate from the premise that "Madam X" is my spiritual "doppelganger" and have become emotionally neutral where she's concerned, which has made it possible for me to develop a civil relationship with her. Of course, this new attitude of mine is slowly spreading throughout the rest of my life, and I'm now much less afraid of my own shadow.

Thank you, John!

THE EMOTIONAL CLEARING PROCESS / Re: friendly questions

John,

Many thanks for your great answer! I got it all. Especially like the part about "The goal of the philosophy of dualistic awareness is always to transcend attachment to the positive and aversion to the negative. In so doing, we evolve past being trapped in any particular lower self dualistic syndrome."

Now: Do you have any ability to "divine" winning lottery numbers? If not, I won't think any less of you. . . .  :D

Until next time,

Kat

THE EMOTIONAL CLEARING PROCESS / friendly questions
« on: November 15, 2022 »
Hello John,

I have some friendly questions for you.

This year, in one of your books, I was happy to find a detailed explanation of the word "opposites"--e.g., night and day, black and white, hot and cold, etc. According to you, and I agree with your position on the matter, each pair of opposites contains a complement of the other half. So when I read on page 185 of Emotional Clearing that we humans aren't really our Lower Selves, we're our Higher Selves, and that we shouldn't identify with the Lower Self--I became confused.

Thus, if dualities are always going to exist in everything, no matter how much we evolve or how much external conditions change, why can we not, as students of spiritual development, solidly identify with both of our Selves? Of course, your textbooks clearly speak to the need to accept, own, experience,  witness, and integrate the feelings, emotions, and all of the projections coming from the Lower Self, but your written narratives seem to stop short of identifying with the Lower Self.

Therefore, my end concern here is: If both Selves are always going to be present, no matter how spiritually advanced we become, after a certain point (when the student is ready, of course), why spend time disidentifying with the lower Self; why not honor it as much as you do your Higher Self, because it's one half of a never-ending psychological-spiritual continuum? Another thing: Could identifying with both the higher and lower selves be an unspoken goal of all spiritual practice? Just asking ....  :D

Is it possible this post contains signs that my Higher Self has become more visible to me and has intimated it has always unreservedly accepted all of me?

I can easily drop these speculations if need be and simply return to the rest of my spiritual practice, applying the instructions from your books, which seem absolutely spot-on to me! After all, I just started working with Emotional/Deep Clearing in July, so I can't claim to be any sort of expert. Just eager to learn and be all that I can.

Thanks for an answer, whatever it is . . . .

With Love,

Kat
