Hello John. Only recently discovered your work, I appreciate that you filled in the gaps where other well-meaning schools of thought missed the point i.e. how to actually release/feel and the nuances behind it.
My question is regarding binaural and alpha states. A technology that I purchased (which cites your work, "iAwake") has a strong means of nudging to alpha/theta for emotional release. I find the technology with meditative steps gives me great feeling with training wheels experiences, though I can't replicate this without binaural beats. Are we always going to need alpha technology to do this work? Is it normal to feel disoriented/overwhelmed regardless of an emotional release or is that an indication of not being a good candidate for Binaural Technology?
After sessions, I'll feel a huge relief, however, I'm extremely disoriented, frazzled, and dealing with instrusive thoughts. For context, I'm already dealing with a hyper sensitive nervous system/post viral syndrome - So my body is always in 'tired/wired & fight/flight modes. Emotional releases 50% of the time make me feel better immediately, 50% other times, it's destabiliizing followed by eventual relief. I found this to be the case with many therapies like BioEnergetics (loud expressions) and Emotion Code. It's okay if you wish not to speak to those. Is it possible to still do the inner work regardless of the physical reactions I have?
Your answer and insight would be super helpful, thanks John.
